We would like to commend the Real Estate team at Walker Elite Real Estate. He recently assisted us in the sale of our former home and the purchase of the one we are now living in. As anyone who has been through this process knows, it can be a strenuous and stressful experience, but the team at Walker Elite Real Estate helped to make the transition much smoother. We chose to put our house on the market rather late in the summer of 2010 which left us less time to prepare our home for sale and less time to sell it and find another. We had re-pairs and fixup to do and Adam put us in touch with a very competent home improvement crew which handled all our needs efficiently and did a great job at a reasonable price. It was a crash course to get our house oganized and staged, but with the help of Walker Elite Real Estate and their various experts, we were able to accomplish this and get the home on the market by the deadline we had set. Adam was very knowledgeable about the housing market and the trends it had recently been going through. We were very nervous about the market and our ability to sell our house for the price we wanted to get. In fact, we backed out twice after "committing" before we finally took the plunge and listed. Adam was very patient and diplomatic with us through the entire process, reassured us and answered our questions and calmed our nerves. Adam spent a lot of personal time with us showing us properties that we were interested in and advising us on what he thought were the strengths and weaknesses of each propertiy. He also put us in contact with a very good mortgage broker, Tom Sawyer, who provided us with accurate estimates of the expenses we would incur with the sale of our home and the purchase of others. This information was very helpful. On the day we moved in, our air conditioning in the new house was not working, and Adam took our call after hours and got us in touch with our Home Warranty Insurance company so that we could arrange service to fix it the next day. Their customer experience manager helped to answer many questions for us, handled paper work and emails and helped us stay in contact with Adam when he could not deal with us personally. They were all very personalble, knowledgeable and professional. We felt at ease working with them. With Adam's able assistance and expertise, we were able to negotiate a good deal for the sale of our former home and a great deal for the purchase of the one we now occupy. Mr. Sawyer saw to it that we obtained an excellent interest rate for the mortgage on our new home.The entire experience was one that we would not want to repeat any time soon, but should need to, we are sure that Walker Elite Real Estate would be there to aid us and guide us throught the whole thing all over again. Just when I thought my house was ready for an open house, Adam sent over a “stager”, and WOW what a difference that made! She was on the ladder cleaning windows and taking down shades. Working with Adam was a pleasure. From start to finish, Adam and the whole team at Walker Elite Real Estate helped guide us through the sometimes tricky and confusing process of selling our home and buying a new one. In getting our home ready to sell, Adam helped us decide which upgrades to do that would bring the greatest bang for the buck, brought in a stager and helped us make sure everything was ready so we could sell as quickly as possible. 4 days… the house sold in 4 days. Adam’s familiarity with the neighborhood we settled on really helped us both in finding a house and in avoiding some of the hidden pitfalls (septic issues, etc…) that this neighborhood sometimes has. Adam’s optimism and constant assurances that “these things always work out, even if we don’t know how yet” helped us keep our spirits up even when things got difficult.
There are a few things in life that happen so infrequently that there is no way to prepare for them, and buying and selling your home is one of them. The process can be confusing and daunting with a lot of very big decisions to be made and seemingly no way to know for sure what the right thing to do is. Working with Adam and the Walker Elite Real Estate team made this process much less stressful and difficult. Their experience and knowledge through every step of the process was invaluable.
